Naomi didn't often find herself in the library or the computer lab. She preferred spending as little time as she could around computers. She didn't have anything against then, honestly she didn't, but she didn't like the way they were changing society. Especially how social media was changing society.
She kept her mouth shut though. She respected other peoples likes and needs, so she didn't say anything about how computers were changing the world.
Sure, the internet was making the world smaller, but it was always making it larger. It was making once close friends, long-distance friends. It was making drama stir up faster and marriages end quicker. It was a good thing, but it was also a bad thing.
It was only by chance that Naomi found herself sitting in front of the computer, staring at the screen. She had no idea what she was doing. She knew how to work a computer, but she never really go into it deeper than checking emails. She had heard of Youtube, or something like that in America. She had only visited it a few times.
Her typing wasn't the best in the business either, so she was constantly making mistakes while typing in urls to different websites. She was a touch-typer, who typed without staring at the keyboard. So she didn't notice when her finger slipped from the 'y' key to the 'r' key. She didn't notice that she wasn't going from Youtube, since the word ended in 'tube'.
What she did notice was when she hit enter, she wasn't on Youtube.
Her face went red and she squeaked when she noticed what was on her screen. Quickly, she turned off her screen.
Oh my god, what if someone had seen that. Naomi didn't dare turn around to see if anyone had seen what she accidentally looked up. It'd be so embarrassing, but it wasn't as if she wasn't already embarrassed. Her cheeks were a dark red and her mind was reeling. Trying to forget what had just come up.
Oh my god, she'd lose her job if anyone found out about that.
(( OOC: LMFAO, COULD THIS HAPPEN IN REAL LIFE. I DON'T KNOW, BUT IT'S HAPPENING. IT'S HAPPENING YO. ))

Though he loved his video games and computer games, his tech skills only went so far. He knew how to fix a frozen computer and even get rid of some viruses. But when his computer refuses to even turn on, he was at a loss of what to do. He'd sent it in to a friend in hopes of having it fixed soon, but he could only do so much without it. Sterling had a couple of homework assignments he needed to write up for his students and his printing was not legible. So it had to be printed off of a computer. He was lucky that the school had a computer lab at all, or else he'd have to venture into a library. Sterling wasn't particularly fond of reading.
Tucked under his arm, Sterling already had the notes written down that needed to be typed up for the students. He had a few days before he was intending to give them out, but he wanted to be safe in case something came up or if his students started to finish their work at a faster pace. Which wasn't likely. A majority of Sterling's students were slow and cared more to foll around than anything. If anything, they were going to fall behind. Again.
A mop of long, green hair caught the man's eye the instant he stepped through the door of the computer lab. Of course he recognized her and she immediately became his top priority. Typing out some notes could wait. Stopping for a chance to chat could not. Sterling hadn't even announced himself as he silently walked up behind her, a wide grin on his lips as he approached. But the images on the screen caused him to stop right there in his tracks and his smile fell. What... the hell?
"Naomi, what was that?" Sterling questioned, finally speaking out to make his presence obvious for her. He had wanted to take a sneaky approach, but he seriously couldn't believe what he'd just witnessed. Had Naomi really been looking these things up? At school? There could have been students around. She should be happy that it was only him! Sterling really hoped she knew how to clear browsing history or some poor student might end up in trouble for what she'd just done- mistake or not. 'Deep breaths,' Naomi told herself in her head.
She was fine. No one had seen her, so she thought. All she had to do was turn on her computer screen, delete the history and then everything would be okay!
"Naomi, what was that?"
Oh shit, maybe things wouldn't be okay after all. Naomi knew her cheeks were still bright red. It was hard to get those images out of her mind. She didn't want to think of them, she really didn't. Though, she was kind of lucky it was just Sterling. If it was anyone else, she'd be in a lot more trouble. Especially if it was the headmaster, principal person, or even a student, she had her job on the line. She'd lose her job, and have to fly back to America. Work there for the rest of her life, she really didn't want that.
Naomi turned and looked up at Sterling, an awkward smile on her face. Her cheeks were red; they were bright red from pure embarrassment. It wasn't a good thing; maybe he'd assume she was red from being caught. Oh that'd be just as embarrassing as well. Her mind reeled, thinking of possible things he could be thinking.
Her insecurity was showing again.
She mentally slapped herself, she didn't need to being thinking of what he was thinking. She needed to be thinking of how to explain what was just on her currently shut-off screen.
"Well, um, I just kinda, accidentally, just went to the wrong site, and I ... I just didn't," This wasn't working; she felt her cheeks going even more red. It was pure torture trying to explain what had happen. "I ... I didn't pay attention to w-where I was going ... a-and it just k-kinda appeared on my screen, by accident of course. I just, like, shut off my screen, with it on the site a-and now I can't turn my screen back on because of wh-what's on the screen."
She was stuttering, she was rambling, she was downright nervous and embarrassed. God, and Naomi was such a fool.
