First of all, hi there, thanks for looking around! I hope you enjoy you're stalking. This is a yaoi site set in Hokkaido, Japan, so before you register, make sure you're making a male. In appliance to Proboards, this site is PG-13. Cursing is okay, but kick it down a notch from saying 'fuck' in every other sentence, please. No sex is allowed. You're expected to 'fade to black' before you get to that point. Sexual content is okay, but no explicit stuff, because that's naughty, and proboards says "no! BI" so we say "NO BC" as well :D Also, PM naughtiness is also not allowed. Srs.
Please, please, just have your display name as "first last" in lowercase. All lowercase. Not "First Last" but "first last". I know that's grammatically incorrect, but I like the way it looks, so please do it in that fashion. Also, please, no fancy things in the name. No boxes, or funky % stuff like that. Just the name. I have a little tick about uniformed things like that, and I'd like for them to all be the same. If you have an accent on a letter in your name, that's obviously alright.. But no ~ or ! .. things like that. Thank you c:
Pregnancies are allowed, but only in small doses. This is a yaoi-yuri site now, but straight couples are allowed, so babies are, too. However, no M-preg. It's fun to read sometimes, but since we're not a magic site, it'd just really not make any sense at all, and is thusly not allowed. Continuing with that 'not a magic site,' we're not. Sorry. No vampires or werewolves or fancy faeries with sparkle wings. Not allowed. We're just humans here, and we like our human-ness. It's fun and stuff and things.
Mary Sues are also prohibited. Not. Frigging. Allowed. People need flaws. It's just how it is. They need to be grounded with flaws, properly rounded. Along with that, people need positive traits, too, just in case you do an anti-sue or something. Something else that bothers me, if you do so choose to make a character with a mental or psychological disability, please to Zombie Jesus, research the disability before you go through with it. There is more to OCD than being clean and organized. There is more to having Asperger's than being socially awkward. Please research, and if you need help, you can ask for it. Disabilities are fun to play, but please do it correctly.
The word minimum is one hundred and fifty (150). I realize that's low for some people, but it's also very useful for quick and easy threads, and not a lot of pressure for those with low muse, which means you can still post! I do ask that you try to match the post length of whomever you're roleplaying with, so that you do not discourage them, whether by writing too little, or too much. There is no maximum word count of course, because the more the merrier, though books are hard to post to... But books are awesome to read, too, so have fun with it! Posts must be in third person, past tense.
Do not "ret-con" plots. If you play something out, you need to keep it, whether or not you decide you don't like it. If you don't like it, talk to the other player, and find some way to change it in-character, if you can. It's rude to just say it never happened, or try to alter things without the permission of whomever was around during the .. whatever, simply because they could use the information in their own plots somehow, and if you change it, then it clusterfucks the entire thing.
Along with plots, it's common courtesy that, if you're thinking of getting rid of a character, to tell anyone you're plotting with that you're doing so, and figure out a way for it to work in-character. It's not fun to wake up and discover your character's boyfriend gtfo'd without telling you, leaving you to decide what to do--kill him off, etc.
Oh right! I knew I forgot something.. Character limits! We have no character limit, but we do ask you to restrain yourself and make sure you're active with your characters, whether you have one or ten of them. You can make five characters without having to have requirements on the others, but if you want any more, you have to have at least twenty posts on each of the other characters. That means 100 posts all together (twenty on each,) before your sixth character. It sounds like a lot, but you'll be surprised how easily you can get that many.
UPDATE: Due to the girls joining the new school, there should be many mingling about! However we know on many sites, girls are ignored. So, we have put forth this new rule. As stated above, you may have up to five without requirements, HOWEVER, all five CAN NOT be one gender. You must have at LEAST one boy AND one girl. If you make a fifth girl/boy, we will have to ask you to change them. We really want more girls around here guys! [[ This rule has been enforced on August 4th. If you have had all boys before that (due to it having been an all boy school before now) then that is fine. From this point on though, no more all males. )
I think that's all. I hope you enjoy your stay, and thank you for reading![/style][STYLE=background-color: 2f2f2f; width: 430px; color: 2f2f2f;] . [/style][STYLE=font-family: arial; font-size: 9px;]Made by MINNIE of BTN.[/style]
