[/style][STYLE=color: #191919; font-size: 10px; margin-top: 10px; margin-left: 10px;]ABOUT PAST EVENTS[/style][STYLE= margin: 0px 10px 0px 10px; border: 2px solid #191919; padding: 2px; font-family: verdana; height: 125px; overflow: auto; font-size: 10px; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff; opacity: 0.8]yoite was born as the third child of a single-parent, middle-class japanese family, along with two older brothers. overshadowed by high-flying older siblings, yoite turned to go - a board game no one in his family paid attention to - to prove his worth. there, he discovered a propensity for the game that he never anticipated to have - he had originally planned for it to be no more than a hobby at first. spurred on by his initial progress, he painstakingly saved up the money required to become an insei - a process that could have very well taken up more than a year had his eldest brother not found out. as a means for encouraging what he believed was a 'healthy hobby', his older brother paid not only for his insei fees, but for a series of go classes as well. rising up the ranks of the insei swiftly, yoite took the pro exam for the first time when he was thirteen - and failed. disheartened by his unexpected failure, he withdrew from the insei, choosing to focus on his studies instead. he applied for a scholarship to chishiki academy - a decision none of his family members were aware of at first. his brother only found out about it when he almost dropped the acceptance letter into the trash. while not exactly supportive of yoite's impulsive decision, his brothers had no choice but to let him go on his merry way with things. he'd always been an independent child to begin with, after all, and the school seemed far more prestigious than the one they originally planned to send him to. bundled off to an unfamiliar school in an unfamiliar neighbourhood, yoite took some time to adapt to his new environment. he stayed quiet for most of the first semester - an action that got him quickly pegged as 'silent and enigmatic' by most of the student population. taking up the post of the student council historian (an ironic role, given his astounding ability to forget even the simplest things), he juggled his duties with his studies effortlessly, but the academic syllabus of the school swiftly began to bore him. he found himself gradually drifting back to go, all while his results took a dangerous plunge. now fifteen, yoite has plans of re-entering the insei and taking the pro exam once again. his results, however, have barely remained within an acceptable range.
