He has horrible social skills from being home schooled pretty much all of his life. When people try to talk to him, he normally just sinks down in his seat, mumbles a few words, and plays with the hem of his shirt. His average friend count it, well... Actually, he ahs quite a few friends, but he met them all online. He highly doubts any of them go to Chishiki, so his physical friend count is zero. Despite his socially awkward, somewhat anti-social outside, his true personality shows through on the online world. When he's on his instant messenger, he pretty much has his own little monologues while waiting for someone to reply. His true self is also found when someone can break through his wall, or at least climb over it, and befriend him. So, what is this awesome true self of his? Well, Ashton becomes kind, energetic, and adorably goofy. His stubborn, clingy side shows through as well, and he hates having the people he likes go away, whether it's to go to bed or if he never gets to see them again. He also smiles more, a lot more. All in all, he becomes the goofy, dorky, nerdy kind of cute. Regardless, Ashton is book-smart. His mother was very strict on studying, and he tends to always have his nose in a textbook. He also has a knack for writing, and duplicating another's work is easy as pie. Why else did he become a Ghostwriter? Other than for the money, of course... Never once has he been street-smart, and he often times has to ask what slang words mean and all that. No, not Paris, Arkansas. France. F-R-A-N-C-E. Get it? Got it? Good. His mother was a stay at home mom, and his father was always off on business. He was never told what his father did, but he always assumed it was something cool. When he was younger, he would always imagine his father dressed up in tights, underwear over said tights, and a cape, flying around the world and fighting crime. Yeah, because that was his image of cool at the time. Heck, it still kind of is. Anyway, his mother was very paranoid about... Everything. She didn't even trust the schools enough to send him anywhere, so she home schooled him. She taught him everything he knows, from Biology to Chemistry to Calculus. Yes, she went as far as trying to teach him horribly hard math. Thankfully, she didn't try the harder subjects until he was ten. It was stilll horrible, to say the least, even though the harder subjects were mainly just to prepare him for actually going to school later on. She would dog him until he had read a whole chapter or two and took Cornell notes on it. It was because of his mother that he grew to hate notes, especially those from Cornell, with a passion. Regardless, he still had to take them and does to this day. He wouldn't get his beautiful grades without them. When he was eleven, his father finally showed up at home while he was awake. His dreams of what his father did were crushed when he saw his father in a business suit instead of tights, underwear, and a cape. Ashton didn't let it get to him, however. He simply started chattering nonstop to his father. However, his father looked like a zombie from being so tired, and he ignored his son and left for his room. Right after that, his mother forced him to study more. At thirteen, he started up a Ghostwriting business of sorts to pass the time. His mother kind of paused his studies while she and his father went out on a 'second honeymoon' kind of thing. On his fourteenth birthday, Ashton finally decided to be bold. His birthday wish was to be able to go to an actual school with actual people. His mother was quick to say no, but his father went off to look for open schools anyway. His father found Chishiki Academy in Japan. His mother threw a fit on the day he was supposed to leave when he turned fifteen. Oh, did they not tell her about this? Hehe~! His biggest secret would be that he's a Ghostwriter. Come on, that's a secret for anyone in his line of work. They're called a Ghostwriter for a reason. He also has a shrine in his closet for his deceased pet salamander, KayKay.
