but that's really only a suggestion because i didn't really have any pb in mind when i thought about this guy but ANYWAY. this is (for the sake of the shipper but you have free reign over the name) natsu. my suggested pbs are blonde so he could have some foreign blood. he, too, just transferred to tokyo, just in time for middle school, and kind of ended up befriending saku. natsu'd be pretty persistent and cheerful, considering saku's not exactly ... very nice. especially back in his middle school years, but they eventually end up as best friends, saku's first friend, actually. natsu already knows he's gay and by the time they reach their last year in middle school, already knows he likes saku. in their last month, he ended up confessing and kissing him (because saku was just sitting there and not giving him any response while INTERNALLY SCREAMING), which freaked saku the fuck out and made him avoid natsu until they graduated, eventually leaving for hokkaido (though natsu doesn't know that last bit. he just knows saku disappeared), which would have left natsu devastated.

eventually, he goes into high school, and in his third year, his parents decided to transfer to hokkaido for some ... business thing. or maybe a "get away from it all" thing. and so this is where i'll give you two routes (or four ... if you count it that way).

wow this looks long for just one character i'm sorry sob. but i would really love you forever if you take him up? ; u; personality-wise, i'd kind of like for him to be a bit opposite of saku when they first meet. kind of like the cheery kind, but you can add other things to him too! i guess i'd just like for him to be the cheery kind in middle school, but it's up to you what happens after that ~
