Instead he has taken up the job as a custodian in order to earn just enough to be able to pay his rent. In his free time he does minor artist jobs that he can find like designing book covers, making posters and assisting mangakas with their drawings. HEIGHT: 172,7 cm (5’’8’) WEIGHT: 61,4 kg (135 lbs) FACE CLAIM: NATSUME YUUJINCHOU, Matoba Seiji PERSONALITY TRAITS:[/style][STYLE= margin: 0px 10px 0px 10px; border: 2px solid #191919; padding: 2px; font-family: verdana; height: 125px; overflow: auto; font-size: 10px; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff; opacity: 0.8] As a child, Touya was considered a bit of an oddball because of how he used to spend a lot of time on his own and even seemed fine with it. Growing up he has kept some of his oddities one of his most prominent ones being his collector gene. Touya collects pretty much anything that he thinks might become useful sometime in the future and keeps everything in boxes in his apartment as well as hanging on the walls and from the ceiling. Because of this his room always looks like one big mess though for some reason Touya seems able to see order in his mess and he always knows where he has placed his precious treasures. He likes using his hands to repair the things he has collected be it old coffee machines, a defect remote control or a broken necklace. Though it is far from always that he is able to fix what he finds he is both stubborn and patient enough to keep trying until it works. Touya is the kind of person who would do anything to help out a friend. Ever the optimistic it seems hard to truly make him feel down. Even when he does find himself feeling either sad, hurt or depressed Touya just needs one day spend alone and he will bounce right back, seeming as happy as ever even if it means to hide some of the scars that his heart has received. He dislikes schedules as well as having to plan too far ahead, rather wanting to experience the excitement of where a new day will take him, preferring to take things one day at a time. In this way he thinks that he is able to live out each day as a small adventure and thereby continues one of his old child games. He is a very honest individual, never afraid of speaking his mind or taking the lead if something needs to be done. Sometimes he might come across as lazy and distant though more often than not it is just because he takes his time to savour the present and when things need to be done he is one to be counted on. Touya has a way of jumping into things without really thinking it through to the end, which has more than caused him to end up in trouble. He would rather do that, however, than sit at home alone not daring to actually go out and experience what life is actually all about. He is really passionate about both drawing and painting and though he would love making a living out of it he is content as long as he is actually still able to keep on drawing and painting even if it has to be on a hobby basis most of the time. He doesn’t mind not having a lot of money either, believing that there are far more important things in life than being rich. Whenever he draws and paints he always seems to make at least one picture where the star is clouds, having always been fascinated with their ever changing shapes. Being a mixture of both polite and curious, Touya seems to have no issues with starting random conversations with people he meets on the street. Particularly old ladies seem to like him and he always makes sure to take his time to talk to his neighbours, even if they don’t really seem to want to talk to him. Like any other person, Touya has experienced up and downs in his life one of his first really emotional letdowns being the time leading up to and around Hayate’s disappearance and Toru’s departure. As such even though he seems to have a lot of people who he is familiar with there are only a few that he dares to call his true friends. Though he has been told to give up on ever meeting Hayate again, Touya still hopes in his heart that he will someday be able to find his old friend once again and apologise to him for failing him as a friend in the end. Despite being quite the talented artist (and therefore also someone you might expect to have quite the refined movements) Touya seems to have been born clumsy. Each day without fail he is sure to get both cuts and bruised, some more severe than others, from either walking into doors, cutting himself on the kitchen knife or similar things like that. He has gotten used to it and though he still whimpers whenever he hits his head on a lamp, he close to always ends up laughing it off in the end as if trying to assure everyone around him that he is fine. In fact he is quite the lost case when it comes to both keeping order in his things at home as well as his clumsiness. He was born as a part of a fisher family, which had been living there for generations and claimed to have blood made of salt water. He was the youngest out of four boys in total and ever since the day he learned to walk, his family brought him with him to the ocean to teach him the basics of fishing. Fishing was a family tradition and like everyone else in the fisher family it was expected that Touya would grow up to become a fisher as well. As it turned out, however, Touya had other plans for his future. It wasn’t because that he didn’t like fishing. It was just that there were other things that he wanted to do more, like drawing and collecting small treasures like the ones he could find on the beach. To begin with it was just seashells but soon his collecting gene evolved and he started bringing home anything that he might either find pretty or useful. Like at times he would bring home a single boot that he had found on the beach, thinking that he might be able to find its mate another day. Besides who couldn’t use a boot? If he got a hole in one of his own then he could just replace it with this new boot he had found. Quite clever don’t you think? Unfortunately, his mother did not share his joy for his treasures, thinking that they were making more of a mess than anything else. As a result she tried her best to clean his room and throw out his collected items when he wasn’t looking, yet it always resulted in a very displeased and crying Touya. Having brothers who were far older than him, Touya was used to play alone as a child. He went on his own small adventures on his search for treasures, spend an awful lot of time on drawing as well as just lying on the beach and looking up at the clouds on the sky. One of his main amusements were to imagine the clouds as the shape of animals, trying to find a match and if he couldn’t then it just meant that he had found a new animal which he had to name. In his opinion they were all his friends and he always made sure to share the stories of his many adventures with them, being confident that they were perfectly capable of understanding him. As soon as he enrolled in Kindergarten, however, Touya was no longer alone. Being encouraged by his brothers to try to go make friends it didn’t take long before Touya approached the only two other boys around his age and with a bright smile invited them to go on an adventure with him. Never one to give up he kept on asking them to go with him until they would eventually give in. Those two boys were Toru and Hayate, who Touya has since considered to be his two best childhood friends even despite what happened later on. Those years were the best in his life. In Toru and Hayate, Touya found two close friends who he loved spending his time with and he was forever happy that he had the courage to invite them on one of his adventures to begin with. He followed them in school as well and though he was never the one to do well in class it didn’t matter to him either. As long as he could find time to draw, collect his treasures and spend time with Toru and Hayate he was content. Their happy childhood years didn’t last forever, however. Hayate was slowly starting to distance himself from the group and no matter how hard he tried to bring him back Touya only got angry hurtful words in return. Thinking that he might have been the one who had done something wrong, Touya was greatly distressed and asked his brothers for advice though they couldn’t help him either. Then one day Hayate disappeared. Still considering the boy his friend, Touya didn’t hesitate to gather the other children and have them join him on a search party as they went out in the woods, trying to find Hayate. Their efforts were all in vain and by the end of it Toru nearly drowned. They were scolded, Touya in particular. He was prohibited from ever trying something as foolish as that again and told that he should just accept that Hayate wasn’t going to come back. Touya didn’t give up on seeing or finding Hayate again, but as a child there was limits to what he could actually do. To top it off Toru was sent away to live with his parents and Touya was once again alone. He still had the other children to play with, but none of them were close to him in age and he would never forget his two closest friends. In the end years went by and neither Hayate nor Toru ever returned. Everyone in the town went on with their normal business, acting as if Hayate had never existed, yet Touya managed to keep some kind of contact with Toru. Touya grew older and one day he declared to his parents that he was going to leave the town and pursue his dream of becoming a professional artist. And so he did. He went to Hokkaido in pursuit of his dream and a small hope that he might be able to meet up with his childhood friends. His planning quickly turned out to fail him, however, maybe because he didn’t really have anything planned to begin with. He arrived at Hokkaido with only a suitcase with his clothes and some pocket money, then suddenly realized that he actually had to find a place to live and find a job so that he could pay his rent. In the end he managed to get a job as a custodian at Chishiki Academy then afterwards found an apartment with a low rent and even less space that he could stay in for the time being. Now his adventure has almost just started and he is more than ready to see it through till the end.[/style][STYLE=color: #191919; font-size: 10px; margin-top: 10px; margin-left: 10px;]SECRETS [/style][STYLE= margin: 0px 10px 0px 10px; border: 2px solid #191919; padding: 2px; font-family: verdana; height: 125px; overflow: auto; font-size: 10px; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff; opacity: 0.8] Betrayed by a Lover – When Touya first came to Hokkaido he found himself a lover called Hajimi who seemed really interested and passionate about Touya’s work as an artist. Touya was certain that he was loved and therefore didn’t hesitate to share his love for drawing and painting with his lover. In the end it backfired as Hajimi ended up stealing his work and passing it as his own, efficiently preventing Touya from having his breakthrough. His Long Hair – Touya has beautiful long black hair, though beautiful as it may be it is pretty much always looking messy and the only reason why he hasn’t actually cut it is that he simply can’t be bothered to and forgets about it. Besides he has started to get used to it so why not just keep it as it is? His Eye Accident – When Touya was just nine years old he had a fishing accident with one of the other boys on his home island, where he ended up getting the other boy’s fishing hook stuck in his right eye. The sight on his right eye couldn’t be recovered and he has since then run around with a white eyepatch which has been carefully decorated by using a brush. Amazing as it might sound, Touya didn’t blame the boy for the accident but just ran around claiming that he was now a true pirate. Childhood Crush – Back when Toru, Hayate and Touya were still living in the small town as best friends, Touya actually had a crush on Hayate he just never had the courage to admit it. Instead he would kiss his friend’s cheek now and them, claiming that it was good luck kisses. Strawberries and ice cream – Delicious! If he could afford it he’d keep eating it until he got fat. Adventures – They bring excitement to your daily life The smell of the sea – Reminds him of home Games – Because they are fun and you get to know people better by playing against them Cooking – It’s a hobby of his though he never has the money to cook anything fancy Free food – Well because it’s free Dislikes: Doorsteps – Since he always seems to trip over them Schedules – He can’t keep them even if he bothered trying His alarm clock – He likes being able to sleep in though his job as a custodian doesn’t allow him to Feeling left out and unneeded – Reminds him of the feeling of having his friends being taken away from him Homework – Luckily he doesn’t have to worry about that anymore Big cities – Because they make him feel small and insignificant plus he gets lost in them easily Lies – They never bring anything good to the conversation and mess up even the best relationships [/style][STYLE=color: #191919; font-size: 12px; margin-top: 10px; margin-bottom: 10px; text-align: center; font-family: courier new]application was passed by Sinclair[/style] | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,0,true][atrb=valign,top][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=style, width: 40px;][STYLE=background-color: #f1e3b4; font-family: courier new; font-size: 30px; color: #404040; min-height: 150px; padding: 5px; text-align: center; moz-border-radius: 0px 10px 10px 0px; -o-border-radius: 0px 10px 10px 0px; border-radius: 0px 10px 10px 0px; -webkit-border-radius: 0px 10px 10px 0px;]t o u y a[/style] |
