So, this is a request for Naoya's roomate, because we all know he's going to have one and it's going to freak him out. I'm such a nice person. There's two routes this can go. The roomate can be nice or the roomate can be an awful person.
Let's describe Naoya's general disposition before getting into the two difference choices we have here. Naoya is completely silent - which some may find unnerving - and is very skittish. Throwing things, making sudden movements, trying to (or actually) touching him will have him flinching away in fear. He has nightmares most nights, which may or many not disturb the roomate depending on the severity of the dream. Just because he can't speak doesn't mean he can't cry or scream - those are wordless noises. He'll knock on the door to the dorm to be given permission to enter, since it's not ~his room. I know, his logic is odd, but it's how he ticks.
Now, there's the nice route. This person tries to be understanding with Nao and doesn't mess with him generally. They don't touch and they just pretty much go with the flow because the kid is weird and terrified. Really simple and nice, really. Not hard. This one is the most ideal setting for Nao and the easiest to accomplish. While I want for this to happen - because Nao needs more happies in his life - I also kind of want one of the mean routes to occur >>; which is why i'm going to hell.
This is mean route A. This person, while he isn't a total awful person, isn't very nice. He does little things to bother Nao - make sudden noises/movements for no reason, randomly touch Nao's shoulder or something to make him jump, deny access to the room, etc. Just general asshat things that don't seem so bad but really in the long run can be. This one is the one I most want to occur, because it isn't as bad as mean route B but it isn't as good as the nice route though really I should be rooting for the nice route, and I am in my own way honest.
Finally, there is mean route B. I'm an awful awful person. Naoya is a former child prostitute, and the staff have been made aware of some parts of his past. As such he has a record that has been accessed by one Cecil Hustveit, the resident sociopath who is awful to Naoya. Maybe, through Cecil, the roomate learns of Naoya's old past and uses this knowledge to exploit Naoya - sexually or not yes, going to hell, I've said this right?, whatever suits the character's fantasy. I'm certain you guys can see where I'm going with this.
So yeah, there's the three options I've got for Naoya's roomate. I want, in different parts of my heart, all three so don't be discouraged if you choose one that I don't appear to want as much cough the nice one cough.

I would be more than happy to fill in this position, I fell in love with Naoya's profile. I would probably go for a mix of nice & not so nice though. Such as one day this "roommate" could be mean to him, and the next he could be nice. I really would be happy to fill this position in *3*
I would try to steer clear of the terribly mean one, since I don't want Naoya to keel over from the torment and cause he's so cute and pathetic ;w;~
Please tell me if you would mind if I filled the position in ^.^ I hope I can make a suitable roommate for him if you allow me to do so.
I could either make an entirely new character, or perhaps fit my current work-in-progress character, Seiichi Ushiromiya, to the desired mix of love/hate. It's all up to you <3

I'd like to first say that Nao wouldn't keel over from the torment, and he doesn't think he's important enough for you to consider kindly. If he were normal he'd say thank you. :3
I don't understand why he would go nice one day to not nice the next. What basis would there be for this character to realistically do such a thing? Like, I can understand having a god-awful day and being pissy once in awhile, but why such highs and lows?
I'd hate to bother you to edit the character you already have in progress, and then to get in the way of developing him to make a fourth. But, depending on how the characterization will go, I might ask you to do so or I might not. I'm a picky bitch >>;. I hope this isnt a bother.

Well, I would steer to making Seiichi nice to Naoya even though Seiichi is a spoiled, pissy s.o.b. It would be nice to make him kind to at least one person, particularly Naoya, since he would pity the boy. If Seiichi were to become fond of him, he might try some pretty weird methods to get Naoya used to him being there.
Seiichi also isn't one to get loud, so that wouldn't be an issue, he does get a bit twitchy when he's annoyed though.
I actually wouldn't mind a bit bending Seiichi to however you'd like, it would be nice for a rich brat like Seiichi to meet someone from the other side of the tracks Plus kunnai just loves Naoya, but that's not the point, I actually have hardly anything on Seiichi done, so changing him wouldn't be a hassle, and would be fairly easy.
I would probably make Seiichi a bit nicer to him than he would be to other people (or peasants as he calls them). I hope I can bend him to your satisfaction.

just gonna post here to put off all the posts/apps I still have to do
Anyways, I haven't made an account for him yet, but I'm planning a freshman character who might work as Nao's roomie. For the nice route.
He doesn't have a name yet, but he's basically a sweet little boy shipped in recruited from Italy by a talent agency as a model. He's a pretty nice kid, but he doesn't speak Japanese, so it wouldn't really bother him that Nao doesn't speak, seeing as he wouldn't understand it anyways.
In contrast to Naoya, he's a naive country boy. He grew up in a pretty large, loving family so I think Nao's attitude would really confuse him but he'd try to be accommodating, though there might be a few mishaps and misunderstandings.
Er, what else. Here's his fc he looks like a harmless girl so I suppose that could be comforting.
Thoughts?

Kunnai It's clear that Nao has a lot of issues in that head of his, so I can understand where pity might come from - but if Seiichi is a "spoiled, pissy s.o.b." I would imagine he'd normally be kind of a mean person. Especially if he's a rich kid that's a snob - he'd probably be more condescending/rude to Nao than pleasant, at least from what I've gathered from what you've told me thus far.
I don't want you to "bend" your character - I'd rather he be himself as he normally would be than make exceptions when, realistically, no exceptions would be made. Does that make sense? I'm not saying that they still can't meet or whatever, but I don't see why he'd be nice if it's out of character for him.
Laika
Because he doesn't look like a boy, Nao definitely would not feel as threatened around this nameless person. Nao actually kind of likes this person because they wouldn't mind his silence and wouldn't really make demands of him. But, because my character is hypocritical in his logic, he would actually be intimidated by his silence. "What is he thinking? Is he mad? Did I make them mad? Is he making fun of my silence? D:" something like that.
As for his attitude confusing the nameless boy, he should get in line. Nao's attitude confuses everyone including me. Due to the inability to communicate, I'm sure that there will be plenty of mishaps and misunderstandings and that would be entertaining and interesting.
>> I'm actually kind of leaning towards the nameless boy, because if we're going to go the nice route I'd want someone like nameless person more than Seiichi. I hope that you don't mind Kunnai >>;;

Wow this character seems to fit really conveniently for Nao's roommate, I actually came up most of this before reading this add, haha.
Anyways, I agree about the entertaining mishaps, definitely. Between the (double?) language barrier and very different upbringings.
While nameless-kun is nice at heart, he's generally very affectionate and used to physical contact so I can sort of see them getting off an a terribly awkward note. Not to mention nameless-kun sometimes gives off a very cold and bitchy vibe. He's just one of those people with a default bitchy expression that he isn't often conscious of, plus he doesn't really speak because he assumes most people won't understand Italian.
Also, in terms of the silence thing, I think if Nao got the fact that nameless-kun's silence freaked him out or whatever, I can sort of see him blathering on in Italian. Like telling Nao about his day really enthusiastically to fill the silence and kind of at least have someone sort of to talk to.
So yeah, I think there could be lots of room for development into a really adorable relationship.

I can understand that. He's a model/ex-model/soon-to-be model or something like that right? Models pout and stuff and have that "holier than thou" vibe. Besides, Nao already thinks people hate him, he wouldnt be surprised.
Physical contact. Nao says NO PLEASE. Well, thinks it anyways. Anyways, I'm sure nameless will become conscious of it - at least around Nao because Nao will shrink away and be sad and stuff because he doesn't want nameless to hurt him/be angry.
Nao, over the years, has been trained to not to show any emotions, really. After systematic rapes/abuse for 8 years, he has a hard time showing any emotions except fear, really. He's never smiled, and he doesn't want to bother people with his own emotions or feelings so even if he could express himself as to the silence bothering him, he wouldn't. He might glance over at nameless during the silence all "D: whyyouquiet" but look away pretty quick so idk if he'd notice that.
