He’s suspicious of everyone and truly believes that there is more bad in people than there is good. His default emotion is anger, and just about anything sets him off. He uses his words as a weapon, just yelling at people and being a genuine asshole because he doesn’t like people to get too close. Just because October is an asshole… doesn’t mean that he’s a bully. In fact, he doesn’t go out of his way to be mean to people, he waits until they bother him and then unleashes his wrath. It’s not all bad with October, he has a short temper, and is pretty rude, but he does have a soft side. There are some people that he can tolerate, and even though he would never show it, he really cares about those certain individuals. They might never get him to act super kind, but his friends can tell that they get special treatment. He’s a great listener, and he’s one of those people who would buy something you were ogling at the mall, and give it to you saying he didn’t want it anymore, and it would be better off with you. October is also really sensitive, thankfully he has rock hard guards up so no one can see his true feelings, but he gets his feelings hurt more often than not. Born in America to the wealthy family of the Grayson’s, his life should have been really easy. But the life of luxury didn’t always mean happiness. Sure, he got everything he wanted, money was no problem, but that didn’t matter to him. October is an only child, and with his busy parents, October was always alone with whatever nanny he had that week. It sucked. October hated being rich. No one really wanted to be his friend; they just wanted to use him for his money. Every single person, everyone was just money hungry kids and he hated them all for it. This is when he started backing away from people. He found that if you were just mean to everyone, they tended to leave you alone. Being mean to others didn’t always go in his favor though; he got bullied a lot because of his behavior. There were times he would come home beaten black and blue, from the pile of guys that ganged up on him in school. That only added onto his hatred. It wasn’t his fault that he was rich, and he personally was pretty poor… it was his parents that had the money, so why did these people want anything to do with him? He just didn’t get it. They were all stupid. In middle school, October met Matthew while on his way to the comic store and… for once he thought he met someone that he could really trust. Him and Matt really hit it off, they would go over Matt’s apartment and just hang out reading comics and watching tv. It was so normal, so… perfect. October found himself really loving Matt, and he really thought that Matt loved him back. He was his first everything. Then… it all went downhill. One morning, October went to school and there were newspapers all over the hallways, the big headline spouting “GRAYSON BOY, GAY SON?” October was mortified. It wasn’t that he really cared that people knew about his boyfriend, it was that there was only one person in the world who could have given the paper this picture, and this information. Matt. His parents were furious and decided that the only way to fix this was to send October overseas to Japan to attend this fancy boarding school. He was happy to go, happy to escape ever having to see Matthew again, and starting a new life, where no one had to know where he came from, and he didn’t have to trust anyone.
